		<description>Great information, Zipporah! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. While I was getting my Master&#039;s degree, I did a grant writing internship with a development department and enjoyed learning new skills to put in my writing tool box. But after I left that internship, I found it difficult to find grant writing positions. I think this was mostly because while I&#039;d assisted in writing grants proposals, none of the ones I worked on resulted in awards at the time and those hiring wanted to see proven results. How would you suggest a new grant writer break into this specialty if they have very little experience or no awards to back up their grant writing ability?
