I wasted time and now time doth waste me. – Shakespeare
What are you up to today? Aside from reading this blog, I mean. Have you worked toward a goal? Written something that makes you remember why you love writing again? Kissed your boy or your girl on the mouth like you mean it?
Have you done anything today that you will look back on in five years and remember? Have you tinkered with a sentence until it rolls off your tongue like poetry? Have you bought somebody a cup of coffee? Given an old relative or a congressperson a call? Dared to eat a peach?
What are you going to do when you X out of this window? Don’t be like King Richard up there and let time waste you. Do something that counts today.

Oh I like this exercise! I’m going to answer quickly so as to not waste time!
Today I’ve updated my blog, sent out invoices and contracts and confirmed meetings with clients for later today and tomorrow (doesn’t feel like much, considering it’s noon already. Where did the time go?!)
When I X out of this window I’m going to update my iPod with the latest Litopia podcasts and head to the gym (I feel less guilty working out in the middle of the day if I’m listening to publishing news while I’m at it). Then I’ll write for a bit before heading out 45 mins across town for a meeting. At least that’s what I’m planning. We’ll see how it actually plays out…

Fabulous! I took my cousin to the airport, took my cat to the vet, sent out some client work, got breakfast and meds for my flu-ish husband and wrote a 100 word story. Out of everything that happened so far today, probably the only thing I will remember five years from now is that 100 word story. Makes you think, doesn’t it?

So true. Probably what I’ll remember 5 years from now is what I write later today, since I’m planning on continuing to revise my novel for a bit.
A 100 word story? Sounds intriguing. I took a flash fiction course a few years back and loved it. Little pieces of writing can have such a big impact.
Ok, iPod’s done uploading, and I’m off for good!

Honestly review your day and understand how you are wasting time, then commit to becoming more efficient with your time. It’s important to be honest and objective about how you really spend each day.
Time never stops so remember, ” Tomorrow is today only later!”
mine i try my best to utilize it in all way but some time there is time where you have to let go………..
but hey thanks for sharing this post.
