I think I must have control issues and believe that life doesn't go on when I'm out of it for a few days. Of course, now that I've proven that wrong, I'm going to try to schedule at least 2 weeks a year for pure vacation, with a some weekend trips throw in! As for how I came back from that, I didn't really. My heart is still in Venezuela. Now if only I could get my feet and body back there I would be happy. I tried to talk my husband into moving back there (hey, I can work from anywhere and get paid in good ol' American dolares!) but he pointedly reminded me that a.) his great job requires him to stay right where we are b.) there's an America-hating dictator in power right now. No country is perfect. ;) Where are you going on your next trip? I need to quiz you on your travel writing and learn how to get those media rates you mentioned! I envy you! We took one in July and we're headed off on another this weekend for a week. We had no computer access in July except on our last night where I plugged in and checked e-mail briefly. No voice mail was checked - no cell phones rang. This trip will likely be the same - though the lap top will be coming along so that I can store photos and thoughts of our trip - not for work. Glad you enjoyed your trip and got to meet your husband's family.
