I’m so excited we’re sharing the conference love, Ami! And a hearty amen to that “being around other creative people” part. I work alone all day, and school and networking events truly save me from despair sometimes!

I’m loving these posts, Jenn. Writers’ conferences rock! If I weren’t already an advocate of them your posts would have convinced me.

I’m working on a series now that finishes answering the questions you asked about the conference I attended back in the spring, and also summarizes some of the stuff I learned at one I attended on Saturday. There’s so much to get from conferences if we’re open to finding it. Not to mention that it’s just nice to be around other creative people.

Hooray! And here I was going to spend the whole week trying to convince you.

But seriously, I did learn a lot of tips and tricks, and it was incredibly gratifying to talk to other people who “get” exactly where I’m coming from. Freelance writers truly are the coolest people on earth!
