Deb, one of the bloggers over at FreelanceWritingJobs.com, is holding a contest. She’s giving way a signed copy of Susan Guenelius’ Kick-Ass Copywriting in 10 Easy Steps to the most creative freelance writer who blogs, tweets, sings, dances, builds a birdhouse, paints a cat (you get the idea) about what they can do to get out of their low paying gig rut.

Enter the Get Out of Your Gig Rut and Win a Kickass Book Contest here. You have until Wednesday, April 8th! I’m going to do it. I can’t tell you what I’m going to do yet, but let’s just say that cats seem to have extrasensory perception about these things.

Also, if you haven’t checked out FreelanceWritingJobs.com, this is me recommending it as a Google Reader-worthy site. Not only do they offer to give you handy freelance writing tools for doing something you should be doing anyway, they offer a list of daily freelance writing jobs.

I’ll leave you with a note on the word “Kickass.” A former colleague of mine actually won her job at the international competitive intelligence company where we worked together by having the transferrable skill “Kickass Sense of Humor” listed on her resume. Do you have any transferrable skills you’re forgetting to list?

So go let your frustrations out and maybe earn a little something extra for your trouble!
